Chicago & Flying

I recently took a quick trip to Chicago and found some cool architecture. The Wilco Towers (or as others say "Marina City") are two of the coolest buildings I have ever seen. Created by Bertrand Goldberg in 1964. I was fortunate to have this view from the Hotel Sax right next door.

The other image is a cloudy view of NYC from my seat on the plane. I seem to always sit on the wrong side of the plane to catch the view, this time I was on the right side and it was a very cloudy day. Maybe next time...

ING Philadephia Distance Run

Did you ever think about running 13 miles while juggling??? I don't even like to think about running 13 miles let along juggling while you do it. Philadelphia Distance Run this weekend as do lots of these other big races have people doing things you can't imagine while they run. We saw people carrying flags, wearing a pink dress, wearing a chicken suit, etc...

 

 

 

 

Comcast Center, Philadelphia

The tallest building from New York to Chicago is now open in Philadelphia. The Comcast Center towers above all else in Philadelphia and definately tries to pull out all the stops to make it a tourist destination there. From the huge video screen in the lobby to the Borofosky people, the attraction is pretty cool.

Bay Ridge

This weekend, I took the R train out to the last stop in Bay Ridge and walked my way back to Windsor Terrace. Having never been to Bay Ridge I had no idea what I was going to see, but we were pleasantly surprised. We found some great houses, cute stores, many many bars and one awesome bake stop. If you ever make it out there go to the Litte bake shop on 3rd Avenue.(see photo below)
