Part 2 of the 9 mile trek...

They call this 16 inch softball...

I think we all have these thoughts once in a while..

We took a 9 mile hike through Chicago this weekend. Most people would think we are crazy but it is definitely the way to see the city. We passed projects, parks, canals, up Lake Shore Drive, through shopping districts and even to Wrigley Field. First set of photos were along the parks and nature museum. The next set will be more industrial shots...

Everywhere we went the butterflies followed...

The walking goal for Sunday was to find the Church Avenue F train stop and take a stroll through Kensington. We found lots of fruit markets and shoe stores along Church Avenue.

Farmer's market in Grand Army Plaza always provides some nice colorful vegetable shots..

Vanderbilt right off of the Prospect Expy

Church Avenue shoe store required heavy security by stuffed animals..

Strange name for a shop, don't you think..

Happy Bastille Day!
Anyone interested in a little Petanque?

This is serious stuff...

If Petanque isn't your game, maybe the sax is...
I can't even jump over the bar and he is taking a skateboard over it...

Doesn't he look like Al Gore??

Today's destination was Hula. Hula is 20 pounds and located at 100 Remsen Street. To get to Hula we took a nice 3mile walk through Park Slope, Carroll Gardens and Brooklyn Heights. Some fun finds were...

Anybody want some noodles?

Can you tell me what these things are?

The first of many block parties to occur in Park Slope this summer. I wish I was a kid still.

Hula. Worth the walk, wouldn't you agree...
